After i got the news about Kame's HomeRun Project, I was totally heartbroken. I could almost imagine having to bottle up those feelings of disappointment, and being forced to smile 'cause of the Camera. Having to put on a poker face while feeling upset 'cause he ain't allowed to reveal to his fans that his homerun project didn't go according to plan. I'm sure he feels upset and guilty, more than anyone would have been if they were in his position...'cause that's just the kind of person he is.
Batting 100 balls is difficult as it is, being forced to bat till the last ball 'cause of the pressure of the media (You know the possibility of batting a homerun when you're at ur 90th ball), and of course the pressure that he's put upon himself...
I'm just being reminded of the pain he had to go through again, apart from his multiple pain-killer dosage during the Marching J event earlier this year.
Sometimes i really admire the kind of love he harbours for baseball. It's caused him so much hardship, yet he could find a hundred times more joy in it. But the scene where he had to kneel down and apologize (ありがとう、すみません。。。), it was totally heartbreaking. It's especially difficult to not lose it on the spot. The way he wiped his sweat...when desperation is written all over his face, the way he pushed himself when fatique is at it's peak, i think it's the effort he's put into that really matters to the supporters, "so there's really no need to apologize, we're proud of you as you are..." (I wish to tell that to him, but i'm positive the other Japanese fans will get their message across first, as Kame fans (: )
We'll all continue to support him, and his aim to hit his first homerun, no matter how long it may take. がんばって、亀梨くん！！We're all proud of you... ^^
Sometimes I think that we all support/love him because of his resilience and perseverance. Of how he always puts in his 110% into everything he does.
