I think this is what they call 精神分裂症 (split personalities)
I've been experiencing so many firsts this year. Hahaha....this is the first time im afraid of studies. Afraid of not attaining my target, paranoid over the errors i keep making, worried about putting in too much effort and not getting what i want. This is the first time i've put in so much effort to do my work to ensure that i really get the results i desire, but i never would've expected that with goals comes with a price to pay, the price of sacrificing all that seemed so dear to you, the price of time, the price of freedom. Whatever that comes after is an even bigger gamble, of whether u're able to step beyond the line dividing disappointment and commitment. Rawrrr!!
Oh well, i've still got 8 months worth of hell looking at me in the eye...hahahaha......
It's then i realize, we were really leading different lives. The lives of enjoyment and the life of someone who has to settle down and get down to business. It would've never worked out no matter how hard i tried. The feeling of the gap and barrier i have to breach. The unshakable discomfort of the difference in treatment. Now i see the bigger picture, of the different stages that we stood on which divided us. I can't risk my studies for friendships i can't even guarantee of. To put it simply, I can't even sign up for japanese classes like wished to. The choice i've made is getting increasingly convincing, all the more when i can even look at you all from afar and tell myself that it's all a thing of the past.
Whatever, who needs all that :D
I was just chatting with Darling justnow, then the next moment, we were sitting by the bench, singing, chatting, crapping. That's all i need. Friends who stand by me, friends who stay true and stand through the test of time. It's not about the quantity of the time we spent together but about the quality, i've came to realize that little by little...bit by bit.
On Thursday, after common test ended, beloved BESTIES and Darling came over to my house despite having school the next day, played mahjong, ate fried oyster together, drank milktea together, chitchat and laughed over the mahjong table. We should play mahjong more often. Hahahha! Make it bestie's favourite activity. =X
On Friday, went out to play basketball and badminton with Samantha, Cheryl and Suetlian in the morning. Quite fun, it's been a loooooooong time since i've last let loose to play bball. It somehow became a thing of the past after my life in unity came to an end. Yet, memories were overflowing whenever we played together. The times where 8 sisters played 4v4, no rule game. Blah blah, let's revert back before it turns into a grandmother's personal reccount story. Haha! Thinking about all these made me so gian to go for the ECP cycling trip nxt sunday. I might just turn up afterall,. Screw Monday blues! Haha!
In the end, losing made me gain more. The gift of simplicity, the gift of joy.
